Pediatric dentistry

We know how children can be afraid of doctors, especially dentists. But dental treatment is still necessary, so we try to make the child forget about fear.

How do we work with children

The vast majority of our patients are children. Almost 30 years of experience working with children helps us make a child’s first impression of dentistry positive.

Our task during the first visit is to establish contact with the child and to dispel the fear. Therefore, when a child comes to us for the first time, we find understanding with the child through communication and playing, introduce the objects around us and explain what we plan to do. We teach how to take care of the teeth properly with the help of special toys.

Parents can be present with the child. Sometimes it helps the little ones to calm down.

We work with children of all ages. The first visit to our clinic is usually at the age of 6-8 months when the child’s first teeth begin to appear. They also come when baby teeth start to wobble and need to be removed.

We have all modern methods of diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. If necessary, you can consult with various doctors (surgeon, anesthesiologist, and others), conduct X-rays or professional hygiene. It is convenient because you do not need to carry the child to several institutions.

Protezist uses various methods of anesthesia, including computer anesthesia. If it is not possible to treat the child in the usual way, then we carry out the intervention under general anesthesia (narcosis). General narcosis makes it possible to solve all problems in one visit. We can help all types of children with different health issues.

Why do you have to treat deciduous teeth?

Parents often ask us why the treatment of baby teeth is important if they are temporary? Milk teeth are no different from permanent ones. They also have roots and nerves, so if inflammation occurs, the baby tooth hurts, as does the permanent one. If left untreated, the inflammation spreads beyond the tooth and quickly spreads to the bone tissue. The swelling appears and fever may occur.

If you do not treat milk teeth in time, the infection can spread to the rudiments of permanent, and they will be formed incorrectly. Chronic infection in the mouth leads to weakened immunity. This can cause diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, respiratory system, kidneys, and heart.

In place of healthy deciduous teeth grow strong permanent ones. Therefore, we advise parents to help children clean their teeth, scrutinize them from time to time, and consult a pediatric dentist on time (at least once every 3-6 months).
